Ladies Day Out 2017We enjoyed a special day of pampering, fun and relaxation at our fifth annual Ladies Day at Dapto Leagues Club. Research has shown that people caring for someone on the autism spectrum tend to live with high levels of stress comparable to combat soldiers. At Care and Share for Autism, we recognise this and our focus on this day is caring for the carer. At our Ladies Day Out, mothers, grandmothers and carers are encouraged to put themselves first, feel pampered and enjoy some well-earned 'me-time' with a wide range of activities where there is something available for everyone.

Ladies Day Out is generously supported by local businesses who make the day memorable for the attendees. Our Pamper Zone was incredible - a place where the ladies enjoyed neck and shoulder, hand and foot massages, hairstyling, brow shaping, makeup and more! The ladies also enjoyed a range of restorative, mindfulness activities such as - reiki, crystal bowl sound therapy, painting, and flower craft just to name a few. For those feeling a little more adventurous, belly dancing, drumming & tai chi classes were enjoyed throughout the morning. The ladies enjoyed relaxing with a well-deserved coffee, delicious morning tea and a relaxing chat, which was lovely to see. Lunch was enjoyed by all as everone caught up with old friends and made new ones. Thank you to our amazing sponsors, without whom the day would not have been possible.
